It Takes Time
You may have handed out dozens of business cards, but don't get discouraged if people aren't lining up at your door just yet. Starting an IT business and getting your customers takes more than a few days. Most likely it will take around six months before you really start to see the payoffs.
Personal Relationships are Everything
Before they work with you, prospects want to feel comfortable with you. They want to sit down, talk with you, and know who you are before they place an important part of their business in your hands. First impressions are vital. Dress neatly and make all prospects feel safe and comfortable in your presence. People want to work with people, not machines, so remember to be interested in their business, not just yours.
