Small Businesses – Dealing with IT

Many small business owners find that evaluating IT consulting firms and dealing with all the IT needs they face in running a business. They often know just a little about IT and have know legitimate basis for evaluating services.

So what should a small business owner do when they realize they need IT services but don’t know where to start? First of all, owners need to ask for recommendations from friends and colleagues or complete research via the web or phone calls on a variety of companies before making a firm decision.

According to Frederic Gionet, chief information officer with BMG Consultants, said, "The best investment is often the analysis of return on investment before the actual project." He also suggested that businesses evaluate their needs and express those clearly to their IT consultant and also find out all the ways that IT can help their small business.
