Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server should ship in March according to Microsoft. Although the development platform was available in November on a GoLive License, the system will now have corporate support.
Now instead of simply running the code in-house, customers have the underlying collaboration software. Channel partners are thrilled since the new release should accelerate customer adoption and allow ISV’s to ship their products.
Shami Dugan of Salem Associates said, “It is not only what the product offers us but also what it enables us to do as a consequence. Collaboration between the team locally on a LAN and remotely is very productive.”
