Ingram Micro Launches Reseller Services Portal

As every solution provider knows, tracking services and maintenance renewal contracts can be the most difficult and time consuming part of the job. For those with large numbers of clients, the problem is only exacerbated.

In an effort to provide quality services for solution providers, Ingram Micro and MaintenanceNet have created a new tool to make life just a little easier. The company's Reseller Services Portal combines and manipulates asset information from Hewlett-Packard-, IBM- and Cisco-based services as well as maintenance contracts sold through Ingram and its VAR partners.

MaintenanceNet CEO Scott Herron had this to say about the program: "Used to be that distributors tracked assets like maintenance-renewal contracts via Excel spreadsheets that got sent around. But how can you take a specific product serial number and match it to a specific VAR? This portal will let you."
