Columnist for “MacNewsWorld” Rob Enderle predicted recently that the Mac platform will cease to be, implying that Apple will leave the computer business if unable to double its market share in the next two years. He implies that Apple’s profit margins have been too small in the past few years.
He provides no real support for this theory and does not satisfactorily explain why Apple would leave a profitable market for the computer business. Many experts and commentators in the computer business market have lately speculated about Apple’s longevity, although most have not provided very ample backing for their claims.
