Computer Consulting Firm Kforce Sets Revenue Record

Thanks in part to a favorable economy for computer consulting, Kforce has been able to increase its earnings significantly recently.

The Tampa-based computer consulting firm concentrating on staffing announced its earnings on May 2 totaling $6.1 million, 15 cents per share on revenue reaching $222.3 million. For the same period last year, Kforce earned $3.1 million, 8 cents per share on revenue of $192.9 million.

In a press release, the computer consulting company reported the $222.3 million revenue set a new record for Kforce. The search environment has been very strong, particularly in certain niches, such as the skilled niches. College educated unemployment is at 2.2 percent and professional and technical staffing are the top areas in sales.

The increased revenue of Kforce may be the result of the acquisition of Pinkerton Computer Consultants, Inc., a company based in Pennsylvania with specialty in technology staffing and IT services for Federal government.
