Nullsoft, a solution provider that has been investigating multiple bugs in Winamp music player versions for the past year announced Thursday that it has released an update to version 5.22. AOL-owned Nullsoft stated that the update would patch the program to fix the latest bugs, which have numbered three within the past year.
According to release notes for Winamp 5.22 posted to solution provider’s Nullsoft site, the latest update fixes 26 flaws in the program. The new edition can be downloaded at the Nullsoft site for free, and a Professional edition can be purchased for $19.95.
Earlier in 2006 there were two Winamp updates, including one that was labeled “extremely critical” by the popular Danish security company Secunia in January. These two updates join the latest one to take care of important security issues.
