In order to gradually launch your business, there are 21 steps you should follow. Here are the first three steps to follow.
Step One: Overcome Three of Your Weaknesses
Choose three of your shortcomings – personality, business or technical skills. Within the next 90 days, overcome them. For example, you can decide to work on technical skills and pick three products to learn a little more about or get some evaluations units or preview copies. Don't try to learn everything at once. If you don't know the answer be sure to find someone who does so that your clients always receive the best service.
Step Two: What Size Clients Are Your Best Match?
Identify any niches or industries in which you have experience. You need at least 500 - 1000 people that you can market your IT consulting business to. Decide what clients you can best serve, choose your target area, and focus on the sweet spot.
Step Three: Pick a Company Name
Decide on a company name that describes who you are, what you do, and why you're unique. If you want to focus on a certain area or specialty, be sure to include it in the name. Talk to others and get their feedback as well. Try to get them to guess what you are doing to make sure that people can easily determine your industry.
