Almost all your sweet spot small business clients will probably just be learning about how important IT certifications are to their business. But they probably don’t know enough to really appreciate IT certifications and pay for the differences between levels.
WHAT DO IT CERTIFICATIONS MEAN TO CUSTOMERS?
If you offer a staff member that is an MCP or CNA with an entry-level certification to a client, and then the next week offer someone that is an MCSE or a more senior level certification your clients will most likely not know what you are talking about.
Clients will appreciate what certification is, but they will not want to pay high amounts for senior IT certifications. Most of the projects you work on will not involve really technical aspects, so they will be able to be contracted out to others.
