Computer Consulting: Do Your Homework

To increase your chances of closing a sale, you need to do your homework. Taking 30 to 45 minutes before the interview to research the company may be the difference between success and failure.

Although it may seem like a hassle, you need to find out a few things about a company before meeting with them. You should have a complete profile of the following areas of their business:

  • What their business is all about
  • What industry they’re in
  • What types of services they provide
  • How many locations they have
  • How long they’ve been in business

And, this is EASY stuff to find – all you have to do is run a quick Google search, and you’ll probably have all this information and more at your fingertips in a matter of minutes. Those minutes can make all the difference.
