In order to pass up rival EMC, IBM plans to turbo charge their offerings. The company is planning to offer new storage solutions that will provide faster performance, improved system management, and lower ownership costs.
The new offerings will offer more space for storage as well as faster storage, a big plus for companies. “We’ve been making strong inroads into market share that EMC has had,” said Charlie Andrews, director of product marketing in IBM’s System Storage division.
For many companies, the best part of the new storage system will be that there is a four year warranty. The lower cost of ownership as well as the additional service makes IBM’s solutions appealing to many businesses.
