Opinion: LinuxWorld A Land Of Opportunity For Vendors, VARs

Linux is becoming ever more popular and people are flocking to San Francisco this week for the LinuxWorld Expo. Between a new study and the big-name vendors showing up at the conference, we can see just how far Linux has come.

Just this week, the Institute of Partner Education and Development (IPED) released a study that claimed many VARs are making profitable revenue on a monthly basis thanks to Linux.

Additionally, IBM showed up at LinuxWorld Expo and used the convention as an opportunity to unveil their open-source roadmap. From software to hardware to services, IBM and other companies are beginning to focus products and services on Linux users as well.
