Computer service contracts are what really make a computer services business, and determine which prospects are customers and which are clients. Your goal as a business owner is to get clients, which are defined as people that have signed long-term computer service contracts.
Ideally, you want all your customers to sign computer service contracts so you can have as many stable relationships as possible. If you have customers that need you several times a year, they will probably be pretty interested in at least a minimal computer service agreement.
Conversion of customers into clients is not something you should try with all customers – just the ones that have proven a track record of paying on-time and needing you at least semi-regularly. Let prospective clients know about special offers, discounts and other items surrounding your computer service contracts. Make sure customers know how computer service contracts can save them money in the long run.
You want to have computer service contracts with everyone, but this doesn’t always happen. Computer service contracts are a win-win situation for everyone; they give you the peace of mind of knowing your clients are willing to pay you on a regular basis for your hard work, and give your clients the peace of mind in knowing you will be there for them.
